I'm Jules, or Gen, depending on where you know me from. Both my real name -- just different bits of it. I live somewhere in the greater Boston metro area, in a tiny apartment filled up to the ceiling with bookshelves. I know how to spin yarn. I also do something vaguely connected with the IgNobel Awards. DVD box sets are my Kryptonite.

I write young adult science fiction and fantasy. I'm a graduate of Viable Paradise XI. My most recently finished project is THE PHOENIX KEY, a YA steampunk fantasy about clockwork armies, arranged marriages, and necromancy.

I treat my friends list more like a reading list, so it's a combination of people I'm friends with and journals I like to read daily. I haven't friended all of the journals and blog feeds I read on a regular basis. If I've commented on one of your posts and you're wondering how I found you, it was probably through a mutual friend.
